Memorial Day weekend

We had a busy Memorial Day weekend. Jon was able to be off Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We went to Lake's birthday party and Lauren Braund's graduation party on Saturday. Jon went to the Indianapolis 500 with John, Allen, Ken, and Lake on Sunday. The kids and I hung out and Jen's house for most of the day. We spent all day Monday working on the wall and flowerbeds. It was so warm and even felt like summer. However, this morning it is only 60 degrees and cloudy again. :( I guess that makes me feel better about spending the day inside cleaning house.

It's Summer Vacation!!

Well, another school year is over. The kids were sad to leave their teachers today, Jackson even cried. It wasn't warm or dry enough for them to have their field day outside but they played in the gym. Now we are making summer vacation plans, anything to keep them entertained!

A day at the farm..

Since Jon has been working nonstop the kids and I decided to take a Saturday trip to Grandma and Pa's. Dad was planting the garden and Mom was planting flowers. The wind was crazy but we all had a good day outside. Eric, Sara, Evan and Alyssa came up to visit. The kids climbed the tree, played with fake worms, rode in the lawn mower wagon w/ Grandma, threw rocks in the pond and rode bikes. The kids were exhausted and all four were asleep by the time we got home.

Last day of preschool!!

Well, Jude is done with preschool. His last day was today, they had a picnic at the park. It was FREEZING but the kids didn't seem to notice. They grilled hotdogs, played on the playground and went over to the zoo. Jude is glad to be done but he said he'll miss his friends. Now he's on his way to kindergarten. Way to go Jude!

Rain rain go away!

When is the rain going to stop? I am beginning to think we'll never get the yard done this year! The kids have been playing outside every chance they get but that hasn't been much! Jude's last day of school is tomorrow and Jackson and Jilian get out next Friday. We are counting down the days!!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there. We did not have a very exciting day because of a bout of strep throat in the house. I did get some flowers and some pretty sweet letters from the kids. Jilian wanted to make supper and set the table but wasn't really feeling up to it. We had also planned to go over to the farm to celebrate and go to gospel meeting but that didn't work out either. Oh well, we enjoyed a day of lazin' around the house anyway. The joys of being a mom...who could ask for anything better?

Columbian Park Zoo

We went to the Columbian Park zoo today. It was kind of cold but no rain! Jackson and Jilian were on a field trip there so we decided to go too. The boys liked the eagles the best and we had to buy some at the gift store, of course!
