Our summer days in July...

We've been busy filling up the last days of summer vacation. We have been to preps, work day, birthday parties, swimming....lots more. The kids are excited about going back to school, I don't think I ever felt that way! We bought school supplies and backpacks so they are ready to go.

Our trip to Wisconsin

Well, we finally made it back up to Wisconsin. The kids had so much fun with Aunt Julie and Uncle Brent. We celebrated Jake's 3rd birthday there, which makes sense since he is a true cheese head. We HAD to go to Clifford's for a Friday fish fry. Afterwards we made a trip down memory lane to 88th street. We were able to say hi to our neighbor, Julie. We were happy to see our friends at meeting Sunday morning. The kids were disappointed their friend Kenion wasn't there. We went down to the beach for a very short time, the kids played in the sand there. We went to the outlets and spent a lot of money, can't seem to remember what we bought but it must have been a lot! Jackson is already planning our next trip up there!

Happy July 4th!

Happy July 4th! This wasn't the most exciting July 4th we've ever had but we did get to see fireworks. Jon was on call but we risked going to Purdue to see the fireworks anyway. Of course he got called as we were getting in the car. Thankfully the lady wasn't really in labor. We enjoyed the fireworks, Jake was a bit nervous but the sunglasses helped. Next year we will take food and our own fireworks like everyone else. We had a terrible time getting out of the parking lot where we were. Thank goodness Jon didn't have to get to the hospital in a hurry. They were really good fireworks and the kids were happy.

Jackson and Jilian's birthday party

It is hard to imagine that Jackson and Jilian are already 7 years old! Time has flown by!! We had a great party for them. They loved all of their presents and had a great time playing with their cousins and friends. They had three cakes! Thanks to Julie for making the cute bee hive cake, it was a hit!
