October adventures
Well, it's been a while since I've updated our blog. We have been enjoying the fall weather with some fun adventures. We went to Turkey Run State park with Eric, Sara, Evan and Alyssa. It was fun to play and explore the neat things there. The kids had a lot of fun and were so cute to watch when they found a bug or worm or whatever else they could find. I think Grandpa Brown would have loved to see them together. I wish he could teach them the names of all the different trees like he did when I was little. We also made a trip up to Wisconsin. We are always happy to see Uncle Brent and Aunt Julie. We ate at Georgie Porgie's and did a lot of shopping. We also went to Swan's pumpkin farm. It's neat to go every year and measure the kids on their big scarecrow. We bought our usual... bats, mice and snacks. Brent even bought food for the goats. Remember, don't feed that sick looking cow though! ugh. Thank goodness for Purell. The kids had their fall parties at school the day before their fall break. I just love it when they bring home bags of candy! Jude was Jack Be Nimble for the kindergarten Nursery Rhyme program. Jon and Grandma Kate said he was the only one out of the three that said the rhyme. He just forgot to jump over his candle. Kate came and help finish up the boys' new room. We finished the painting and put up the border. It's so cool! The CEO of the hospital gave Jon tickets to the PU football game. I was not able to go because the boys' new bed was being delivered. Roger came over and he and Jon took all four kids. They had fun even though PU lost. They liked the band more than the game. We had a relaxing fall break. We just stayed home and played. It's nice to just be at home sometimes.
